SpeechSPOT is a charming boutique speech therapy practice where you'll discover a skilled pediatric speech therapist with over a decade of experience. We focus on supporting children aged 0-18 by harnessing their natural motivation to help them become exceptional communicators. Our approach is child-led, strength-based, and neuro-affirming. At SpeechSPOT, your child is our top priority.

SpeechSPOT is serving clients in the greater Portland area, including Beaverton, Bethany, Northwest Heights, Hillsboro, Raleigh Hills, Tigard and surrounding areas. Telehealth appointments are also an option for appropriate clients.

The Sunshine SPOT is a social group that focuses on developing and practicing the awareness and skills to regulate emotions, create collaborative play moments, and make lasting friendships.

The Sunshine SPOT

Social Group!

This unique program is run by two certified and experienced therapists , an Occupational Therapist and a Speech and Language Therapist with almost 20 years of combined experience. The Sunshine SPOT will have a maximum of 4 children which allows for individual attention and support. The group will run for 4 weeks (7 sessions), from July 1st until July 24th (no group on July 3rd). Sessions will meet twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays for 2 hours.

This intensive schedule allows for:

More frequent meetings for better retention of the developing concepts
Longer sessions for more natural opportunities for genuine play to develop
Longer sessions for more facilitated practice successfully working through social disagreements
Longer sessions for more time for parents to run errands, enjoy some alone time, or bond with fellow group parents
Condensed program duration so the social group won’t stop you from taking vacations and have a relaxing Summer.

The program follows a flexible curriculum that allows for adaptation depending on the make up of the group members. We utilize play and movement to teach cognitive and social strategies that will support positive social interactions. Each session includes a summary email sent to parents including: concepts covered, key vocabulary and ideas to review with your child, and suggestions for implementing these at home and in the community!

Pricing: $190/session - 7 sessions series

Location: SpeechSPOT: 4530 SW Hall Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97005 - nearby to coffee shops, grocery shopping, public library, parks

Dates: July 1st, 8th, 10th, 15th, 17th, 22nd, and 24th
